Red Oak

Pre-finished 2 1/4" natural Oak was installed over cement sub-floor above grade. Glueing down solid hardwood to cement is a fairly new process that utilizes the latest technological advances in flooring adhesives. Prior to such advances, solid hardwood installed over cement would never have been an option.

The new oak flooring installed in this living space seems to draw our attention deeper inside the room towards a more "earthy" focal point-- the rock fireplace. To ensure that there wasn't any gapping between the rock fireplace and the new flooring, each floor board was carefully contoured by hand. The result - spectacular!
